The raspy sound of the crone's mild laughter echoed from the nearby trees with a grating edge. Old though she may have been, this place was corrupted with the power of the Ji Lyn, and she felt her confidence swell as her mind reached out and touched the latent darkness within the small enclave. The ...

This remains one of the most succinct and, in my opinion, accurate postings I have ever read about the intended path of the Paladin and what being a Paladin means. These words ring as true now as they did in 2003.

War, Peace and Something In Between

"They are oblivious, my Lord, as you claimed they would be." The petty officer knelt before the man in robes, his head turned down in submissive obseqience.

The sorcerer bent over his scrying pool barely acknowledged the lesser man's presence, an almost inaudible grunt escaping his throat as he ...

I don't see the problem with the induction of harmonicas and guitars, really... the concepts have parallels aready.

My suggestion as a roleplayer, however, is if you want your character to introduce something new into the world, perhaps you might consider inventing one rather than importing one ...

I'll write something in Dasarian context that will be more complete and get it off to you in the next few days.

In a world of might and magic, where you can be a knight in shining armor slaying a dragon, why would you play a butler? heh =)

Because everyone and their brother is the knight in shining armor, because they *can* be. I'll be the butler, and I'll *still* slay the dragon, and I'll have a more ...

It would. I'll update it. For some reason it wasn't listed in the resource from which I pulled it... however, in Dasarian context it would certainly be thus.

Keep in mind that these descriptions, as well as Dungeons and Dragons descriptions, are guidelines and references rather than rules. In other ...

What do you think of...

"What do you think of...?"

This is a question I've been asked a myriad times since I pulled back into town following my unavoidable absence, by players interested in putting together a unique character who is "out of the ordinary." Out of the ordinary in this case, being a demon, or a drow paladin ...

Currently I am working out the final details regarding transport to and from the grove. The Great Grove will be opened to those who are druid, rangers and friends of the land - the Great Grove is created for those who are interested in playing the role of a druid or ranger (with other classes to be ...

Druid shifter is probably the most stringent class available currently as far as the requirements from a RP standpoint. The Hide in Plain Sight ability was only the most glaring of the issues on the table. Currently there is one shifter who has reached 7th level, and it took him a couple of months ...

Azsraszha, the Silver Matriarch of Ki, had fallen.

He felt it, as keenly as he felt the magical attacks which even now rained down upon the protective magics he had woven over the expanse of the Great Grove. He hadn't been prepared for the attack, which had begun almost immediately after he had ...

It is unclear how long the aging priest of Anu had been watching the praying man before he stepped forward from the shadow of the dais of Anu. As he helped Mitchifer to his feet, his very touch itself seemed to ease the suffering felt by the cleric. His eyes concerned and genuine, he waited til the ...

Re: Lawful!

When I played Whitney, Cirran started whacking me with the allignment wand because he thought it was a wrong way of playing a paladin. Though imho, it wasn't at all. But it was a DM's decision, so that's what I had to stick with.

I do not make judgments about what is right and wrong as far as ...
