New vilains
Today a new threat appeared, traitors to our cause.
The following people attacked the task force escorting the road builders Basil IV, (Lord) Romar, and Winky Wills.
They first joined the group of volunteer, then revealed their intention, attacking the rear guard of the task force.
Please be careful whether you meet them, and please report to a Redboot Guard or officer if you see them in town.

OOC: If they were trying to stop the building of the bridge they are an enemy of Dasaria. This road between Dasar and Daris will prove to make the war against Varana a lot easier in many respects (transportation of goods, weapons and armor. Re-inforcements etc). By trying to stop us from building the road is an act of treason against Dasaria. It would make perfect IC sense to put them on KOS for this.
Just my opinion.

I think it would be safe to assume they where disgused or similar - as they where asked by a DM to play a role so unless they request to have the event recorded against thier name and in effect become KOS then nope they shouldn't be.

Kin)) No they shouldnt be KOS, that particular list is a very distinguisehed group. Romar would be eligible, but i hardly think the other two would qualify, I don't see them as a threat more a pain in the ankle. They were stupid enough to make an enemy of The G 'Elle this eve, so life would be VERY hard for them if they were KOS too!

It depends on how you look at the situation either IC or OOC. From an IC perspective they should be put on KOS immediately no questions asked. But from an OOC perspective as they were asked to do this to make things more interesting for these quests they shouldn't be KOS.

Agreed with Greenman
Well I think it should be their choice, in ooc extent : it was a request and it made the event more thrilling. Besides we are not hardcore roleplaying (well I think so cause I played on other servers that really were)
So it should be up to them, as players, to decide if they want to go Enemy of the State, if not then we could find some decent IC reason to "forget" who they are.
(As for IC statement, well they are totally KoS at the current time, for sure.)
What do you think ?

I think that in the confusion about the issue, especially regarding the fact that they were asked to asume the roles of villains, I think the three players should decide whether or not they want thier characters KOS, or if thier characters were "Disguised".
However, in the future, I think that characters should be held accountable for thier story-driven actions.
Of course, just my opinion. Truthfully, the DM's decision is final.

To KOS or not to KOS...
That being the question, I say no. I do say punish them, but that would mean deciding on a punishment. So what shall it be RedBoots
What ever shall it be

As builders and DMs of events, we get caught up in getting everything ready to go live. Sometimes we overlook conciquences of actions within the given event.
In hindsight (which, we know, is 20/20) the actions of the villans would be grounds for EoS. When we put out the request, we did not look at the conciquences of the actions of these villans. Sure, you can say it should be obvious that these actions demand the response of EoS, but we just didn't think of it at the time. Getting the event off on time was the goal (btw, Greenman and Jeh busted their asses getting it going).
I would suggest this situation be treated like the villans were disguised (Unless the villans involed want to be EoS).
In the future we will endevor to be clearer about the roles played.
