I would like to see.... hmmm...ok let's do some brainstorming.

More weapon graphics indeed. And I can make a few suggestions.

Morning-stars, pikes (really long spears), tridents, mauls, wakisashi's (Katana short versions) tanto's (katana dagger version), Dai-katana (Katana great sword version.), banners (to hold, like the various totems that are remodelled torches.). I can list hordes more, but i wanna keep it short. And of course.. a barbed chain whip would be cool :)

More apparel graphics:
More pauldrons, helmet designs, metal-belt designs (for instance leather slaps like on them roman armors.), capes with emblems of the most signifigant factions (Could be applied to the banners too.) more graphics for the legs and feet for metal armor.

More tools.
Chef's knives, pliers, ladles, brooms, flasks, forks, books, flowers, and whatnot. for more realism. Tools that actually shows in your hand as you equip them.

A darklands kinda tileset:
Blackened moors with blackened soil with only a few dispurse dots of moss, lots of dead tree-doodad's, and remains of animals that died there, perhaps some typical gothic graveyard dooda's and buildings as well. your typical "Tim Burton" environment in lack of a better expression.

More artifact weapons, and different places to get them:
And by that I mean some other factions artifacts. Almost every really good weapon I know of has the name Koa'lisk to it, but they have some sense of evil too them,
I would say something similar, like koalisk, only the artifacts could be more designed for good characters. Golden, attack bonues versus evil and whatnot. (Not my best explaination, but I hope you get the picture.)
This is mostly for diversity tho.

I would like to see more effort from varana, (allthough that has improved a lot lately.) More varana leaders interacting and such.

More DM posessions of NPC's.
(Typical example is where a DM starts some plot, baffles us and gets us intrigued, then moves on to something else.. I realise DM's have tons of things to do of course, but a normal reaction for the players if they are clueless is to seek an NPC that might know something, after the plot has been initiated.
I would like to be able to more often seek NPC's for clues as to what to do next before the DM leaves or tends to other things just after initiating a plot.) All plots cant of course be figured out in one day, but some info from an NPC could leave us to discuss theories between events, as the research between the various mysteries is a big part of the RP.)

I like to call this "the first clue +1 rule" *sniggers* The initiation being the first clue, and then some kind of follow up on that right away to give some more specific clues as to what to think of between the events. As players often get caught up in the moment and exitement over events happening, but may require a little nudge to get to start theorizing properly.
(this applies to me as well :P )

I would like to see that the DM's saw to it that the players went further with the plot after the initial stage show from the DM's part :)

I would like to see more areas as well, there is little areas north of the road along the valley as far as I can tell from the zone map. (Dunno how updated it is tho.)

I would like to see the authorities being respected more for their rank in combat situations. (Not that any ranking redboot should be superior leader in every fight, but when it comes to war efforts as attacks on town and counter attacks, that ranking personell are recognized for their status.)
I have several times been slightly frustrated over the fact that counter attacks and rescue operations have been disorganized because the ones that has the official responsability to solve the situation, has been somewhat undermined.

I would like to see more consequences to our victories and failures.
Although this would leave daris a burning pile of rubble, I think sometimes the outcome of situations should have more consequence.

Example: Some NPC is kidnapped.. we try to rescue that NPC, but due to lack of discpipline in the ranks, someone endangers the party, the party is wiped out. This is in my opinion "Mission failure" and the NPC should be killed or whatever the varanites had planned.
This will force us to lead better RP'd attacks and organize better. (see previous..)

A rule for this could be: If the entire party is whiped out, mission failure, but if a minimum of X-number of operatives is left alive on the mission site, respawning or DM raises could be allowed.

That is what my brain managed to produce so far. (Hope anything of this was good at least.)

Just brainstormin here heh :D

Perhaps the wagon quest could be made so that it left at a certain time, daily, because if there was an area where you wait in the wagon, etc. There would only be one area, and it would take the same properties as the pale moon ship, if a party is already using it, and were already there for 2 minutes, then all of a sudden another party decides to go to pale moon, they will appear on the same ship, but will elave it at different times, which still doesn't make much sense, but still, making the wagon have a schedule would eliminate that problem, and everyone would take it at the same time, be it if your partied, or soloing.

I would like to see a boat trip where you could be attacked by pirates as well.

Perhaps a random chance to be ported to an area with two ships aside eacother during the trip.

However boarding would be difficult, unless the NPC's are spawned on the friendly ship and you call it a boarding, and this would pose some hazard to the NPC's that are friendly.

But still pirate raids are fun :) Dunno if its doable tho.

Yaarr!

Great idea, Butch. Maybe the same scripts Deph used to create the rope crossing in that temple in the forest of the damned can be used for the boarding.

I don't see any reason to leave these out. :)
I checked, they don't even conflict with anything in the current hak.

Cor blimey, just got to the end of that marathon thread, hadn't seen it before today.

Agree with loads that everyone else has said, some groovy ideas also:

Quests that take you to more than one place, eg: get soandso from pale moon, mix with the blahblah from the frost giants, head to the ku'thua bitches and nik something from there, bring them all back to <X marks the spot>. Then you'd have to keep at a quest, it would take ages, more than one sitting probably. Could be something that people arrange to undertake in a specific group (like the ones recently created).

One quest that I loved working out was the one with the runes in the damned forest, I'd like to see more of that - a really involved quest, not just hakin it up to the end, but thinking about it, elements beyond your control involed (the rope swing), then working out what to do with the runes (electric shock treatment for when you are wrong and the fountains sometimes nik your runes too). That was great *claps for the person/s who did it*. But....it then falls flat and you can't go further (at least last time I was there) and that is a shame, just when you're getting right into it and confgratulate yourself at getting over one obstacle you get gazumped.

Broken quests:
Vampire chest in riddle valley
werewolf mushrooms in damned forest (the cave they should be in doesn't have anything in it)
Is the Drow quest still broken after the Gollem?

Be nice to have a koalisk quest. Don't want any XP really, but it would be nice to try and out wit them rather than just be stronger. And such a daunting force, known to the authorities in Daris (surely?) would need to be kept in check

Personalied appearances (I think this has already been dealt with) and more toys - although +3 I rekon is a great limiter.

This being said, I still love Das the way it is.
