Heaven knew pain. Being raised by a drow wizard in an old section of Dasar, and thinking it was the Underdark her entire life.. seeing him do unspeakable things, and hearing on a daily basis that said drow wanted to steal her sorcerous magic. Her only comfort was that Sa'mir was dead, by her lover's own hand. It was a small comfort, but one nonetheless.

So, why was she sitting far away, in the secret location Haxley found for them to stay in (she hadn't asked how he found it, not that he would have answered her), reflecting on her life, and wondering how it became so complicated?

Lone had returned. They had accomplished their goal, but Heaven felt scared out of her mind. Did he have Samael's memories? Did he know she tried to kill herself, partially because of Samael's words to her? Lone had a tendency to blame himself, and he was a good friend. She didn't want to have gone through all of that trouble just to lose him again. It was a selfish thought, she knew.

Then there was the dragons. Who sent them? Why? For what purpose? It was so complicated, and, so confusing. That archon had been evil, but very chaotic. Chaotic like her magic, but, even so, dragons--well, there wasn't a being that existed more chaotic than a dragon really, no matter how much people protested. She didn't like killing them. She didn't like it at all. Only dragons like Raven seemed to deserve death, unnatural beings.

Tears streamed down her face, and Heaven didn't bother to stop them. She wasn't sure when everything had hurt this much in her life. Her magic, she didn't have any idea what was happening with it... she wasn't sure if a good friend would hate her or not now that he was back and alive again...

Why did things have to be so complicated? She thought uselessly.
Vellin : mistress of the blades
Heaven : a mere chaos weaver
Ivae : a bit of trouble never hurt anyone
