New areas are really nice to have, even updating the old ones. Had a blast the other day with Cecilia and Ragrin exploring an Ancient Tomb in the Forest of The Damned...I've never been there before. It was great!
So what do YOU want to see?

Some -really really really- difficult quests. Something near impossible, a good challenge. Raven is nice to fight, but...I know a wizard that can solo her.

Let me apologize if I may have stepped on any toes saying this. Far from my intention. I guess I should have said, we could use more DMs just to ease the work load for the current ones. Sorry.Boon wrote:I'd like to see more storyline/event DMs, especially on the Euro/Australian side.
As for quests, I'd like to see something that is not a one shot, i.e. kill boss and return his/her heart or head to finish it. How about a few side quests, just like in real PnP, before finishing the main one. Say some NPC won't give you the information or an item you need until you do them a favor.

How about some more items for Dex based fighters. Some of the nice stuff I have seen has been restricted by class. Either Ranger or Rogue. I have seen some nice stuff for STR based fighters and some of them I use now but I would gladly trade some of those items.
--An idea, if you drop some of the simpler items from the store inventories, like arrows, it would force users who want or need those items to take up the trades or buy from those who can make them. Also allow the crafters the ability to sell these items to the stores to keep the stock up. Its very easy to go into Peribo's and fill every inventory slot with arrows. It makes for some interesting RP when you have to go around scrounging for ammo.
Just an idea that popped into my head. Maybe not a good one *shrug*-

What do you expect from an outcast, a shuned person, once they find acceptance?

I personally would like to see some more quests, doing the same ones over and over again can't always satisfy me anymore. I know, I could work on that myself, submit some stuff (and believe me, i've been thinking about it many times), so I probably shouldn't even mention it. Oh well.
Another thing that I would really like to see, and one of the few, if not the only thing that really irritates me, is something against knockdown. It's probably not going to happen, but gawd... it's so omg frustrating to just lay there and not being able to do anything about it except wait to die. Sure, you can choose not to go face those monsters ever again, but even if there was a slight chance of finding a rare item that can protect against it, or a potion that temporarily increases discipline, or whatever, then I wouldn't say anything about it. But now it seems certain death, unless you're putting points in discipline, which isn't always really useful for all classes.
OK, sorry about rambling, I don't mean to turn this into a complaining thread. But you're asking about changes/additions, so there's my 2 cents.

Agreed! And I too would rejoice over more quests and to finally play on Kracc's. Necropolis is gonna be -so- neat. And like I think I've said before, more low level places to go, I'm sick of bugs, I die at goblins (usually) and yeah... I'd like to see something new.Boon wrote:How about a few items that add a nice some to discipline. +10 maybe? Not enough to keep you off your backside always, but it should help.
And I agree with Holly, more PC vs. NPC. Depheant, all hail to thee for making a couple of nights very fun and interesting.

More items for low-level, mid-level and high-level would be very nice. Such as regeneration, spell resistance, dmg reduction, etc. They can still be in the server but doesn't have to be too powerful.
And also more quests with side-quests. Quests for different type of characters, evil, good, class-based quests, etc. Different level quests, easy, medium, hard and almost impossible.

Seriously? More backstory for existing places and people. Something to give them character. A reason to care about the world and make it more immersive. More like the -excellent- work Falcon has done with the Plains of Arrith: http://www.dasaria.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=5631 and Jehannum's The History of The Holy Martyr Yalain: http://www.dasaria.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=4946
Then stick it all under World Background and Information to make it easy to find.
I'm not so interested in new lands and weapons as I am firmer foundations to build conflict and character on. We have plenty of -stuff-, now we need to make it -live-.
For instance:
-Why are the Old Baraan Districts in ruins. Who once lived there?
-Who is Sarangrave? Why does he live in the swamp? Where is the tribe of giants that he came from? Why does he no longer live with them?
-Who is Erasien and why are the drums always thundering in his valley?
-Is Rugrigin REALLY a pothead, and where is this giant marijuana crop we suspect exists?
I have my own, private, answers to these types of questions, and I suspect that a lot of you do as well, but are unwilling, like I am, to set them in stone for all to see, because you're afraid to conflict with "official" history.
So, what we end up with are a bunch of characters from far off "Oogerboogerstan" or Corda, or Morell, or Rian, or in my case, an orc tribe that Feng doesn't know the way back to. Places that don't "exist". I have yet to meet a character who claims to be a farmboy from Daris, or witty urbanite from Dasar.
Please PM me if I am misinformed.
I propose that there be a DM in charge of reviewing, approving, and perhaps editing player-submitted stories which are will become official Dasarian history and cultural guidelines.
