Whirling Serpent Monastary Update

Post by Spirit »

here is a list of what I still have to do before I submit to the DM's for insertion into the mod.

1. I need to fix the levelbased spawns in the Rites
2. add the custom helms (recolor of basic helms)
3. finish a quest I started and had approved by Mia
4. Update some dialogue
5. Add more visuals
6. Possibly add a "Greeter"
7. finish the script that makes the Rites have to be done solo

as of this post.. I go on vacation next week, and I started to remake a few of my old chars with the new SoU skills/feats.. so I need to do all of this and play, take a week off, then return to the mess I made...

anyway.. thank you all for you help and support..

and please if anyone has more ideas/requests.. feel free to ask me

I think the more important question is, do they look god on a dwarf? :D
But Rugnar being as he is won't even give a crap what they look like, as long as they make him stronger  .

as for mods.. they have been discussed with the DMs, granted they are not Perm Haste with +5AC and 20 slashing/piercing/bludgeon resist like i'd like em to be :P but they are better then the normal WS robe that everyone wears.

As for the helms.. they are just normal helms that anyone can buy anywhere just a different model and colors.

And dont be thinking that after the Monastary is loaded into Dasaria that all the monks will all of a sudden be wearing these new robes.. the Rites of Passage are level based/ must be done solo/ and IMO gonna be the fricken hardest quests to finish. Gaining these robes will signify that you are worthy to wear them, and a great deal of respect comes with gaining these robes. So just because you're a lev 16 monk, dont think you wont have a hard time with the first quest

Ok, I'm back from vacation.. I got alot of ideas to add the work I've done/still have to do.

I got a lot of work done on it tonight, so the ppl who've seen it so far can expect to see a drastic imporovement IMO, for the ppl who haven't seen it.. I hope you'll enjoy it when it's done.

After I finish the side quest, I'll open it up for a few test runs for last minute suggestions/debugging. DM's will be highly encouraged to attend. If I can keep up the pace I've been in lately, hopefully it'll be in a week or 2.

Yet another update:

The quest is completed.. I still need to do another test run if I can get some volunteers.. hard nasty quest (takes about 2 hours).

The Rites of Passage are done, tho I decided to add a whole new training area.. more on that later.. (very RP run now).

The robes and helms are in.

Other than than, just a little more dialogue editing/some visuals/ and finishing the training scripts.. then it'll be ready for import.. :D

If you need some volunteers you can count me in! Sounds like a lot of fun, I think Rugnar will enjoy the challenge :D

My Messenger and ICQ are below if want to discuss things any further.

Cheers,
