bearing the banner of the Royal House of Siril. He approaches the Redboot Commander and the Lictor Ki'athano the Crusader at center of town. He unfurls a scroll and reads a royal decree in a loud and commanding voice:

By Royal Decree of Good Queen Nelina,
Ruler of All Dasarian Lands, Baroness of Dasar, Marchioness of the Lendose Marches, Knight of the Fist

Let it be known that in the shadow the recent appearance of a host of armed Drow, working in concert with the forces of our Enemy, who is Varana, in acts of war against Dasaria: from this day forward the race of the Drow shall no longer abide or seek shelter within the cities of Dasaria.

Those members of the dark and evil race who have, through valiant and honorable service to the throne, cast away their loyalties to the sinister authorities in the depths of the earth shall now report to the Dasarian Authorities to be granted protection under the Laws of Dasaria so that service to the Throne and to Dasaria may be further rendered. Those of the Drow race who have not proven loyalty to the Nation may petition for protection under the law shall bring witnesses to their character and actions. Such witnesses shall bear the burden of responsibility for the actions of those they speak for.

Is the beginning of State-sponsored racism in Dasaria? Are identification symbols and ghettos far behind? Are half-orcs next on the Crown's list of undesirables? This is the top of a slippery slope, my friends. I will not stand by and allow Dasaria to rot from the inside in this fashion! *pounds fist on table* If we allow this to continue, we will be no better than the foul Varanites which seek to crush us. I think I just blew ALL the plans I had for Feng, but that one hit pretty deep into the core of his character. As a half-orc, he has been the subject of lifelong discrimination, and it is the source of much of his rage. He journeyed to Dasaria because he understood that all kinds of people were welcome here. So, that kind of racist crap WILL stop, even if he has to take over the country to do it.))

OOC)) Drow have been notoriously evil and callous, bloodthirsty killers of surface races for a millenia. They should have to prove themselves worthy of acceptance BEFORE being accepted. Half-orcs may be shunned or ridiculed, not out and out hated as drow should. Children will have been brought up on with tales of drow evils, they would be the bogeymen of RL. They should be hated on sight. People pointing at Drizzt as an example should read the books again and realise how hard it was for him to be accepted.

OOC))Heh, I edited myself while you were replying. Feng comes from a place where orcs and horks are slaves to humans, as such he will not tolerate the fact that Dasaria just developed official second-class citizens. (I modeled him a bit after Conan the Barbarian, but smarter and better groomed

) Even law abiding drow (where?

) now have to be concerned about their futures and the fates of their children. We must also assume that there are more drow citizens of Dasaria than just the player characters, and that they are now in the same position that Japanese-Americans were in after Pearl Harbor. Or, that they are similar to Arab-Americans after 9/11. To a child of extreme racism like Feng, this is a completely intolerable situation. (That, and it means that _I_ get to kill bigots and not get arrested in R/L.

Don't worry Feng. They aren't about to outlaw people just for their race.

The queen has outlawed the Drow becuase of numerous assaults on town. Why, yesterday they even set the jail on fire.
