Dyes and attuned Items

On my char Hert Webber I have a helmet that was attuned to him. Tonight I dyed it to match the rest of his armor, but when I did the helm unequiped and now it says, "this item is not attuned to you." This helm is pretty cool and I would like to use it.

One of the DMs will take care of that for you when we see you next online.

It also has been noted that if you try and change the appearance of an attuned item(weapons and armor), you will get the same result.

NOt sure what happened, but I logged in with the new -unaltered- Helm a few minutes later and it vanished upon entry to the main server. Is the Dasarian Scout Helm Bugged? Does it have something to do with the item being Attuned?

For the record, I did not try to dye it this time, it just jumped outta my inventory.

Same thing happened to the expedius boots that Myles had (took almost all his coin to buy). They were fine for a session or two but when next I logged on they disappeared. I have kind of given up hope in getting them back.

Heaven had her amulet she got from the Ravenswatch quest disappear after a PvP death too and it was also attuned... I had thought someone told me attuned items wear away after a while?

I know that the Attuned weapons that have conditions set to them can take damage as they are used. As for items like helms and boots I dont see the point. My helm was never used in battle. Heck, I have had spells that lasted longer!
