Ever had to call your ISP about an issue and you get to listen to their hold message that tells you "for faster service, please access our website..."

I mean, come ON!! How obnoxious is that??

What bothers me more, is the part about

"Your call is important to us, which is why we put you through a voice mail maze instead of picking up the phone. Please stay on the line until 20-40 minutes, until a statistically significant number of you will simply give up and go away"

One time, there was thing girl I liked. And I literally waited by the phone expecting her call. And then, when she did call, I transfered her to voicemail and made her sit on hold for 30 minutes.

Because THAT is how you show someone how important their call is to you.
