Hehe... is it even possible to create a Zelda film with real actors and keep a straight face?

Just goes to show, Hollywood has run out of ideas.

Running out of ideas?

Marketing one of the most influential video games ever for a movie release sounds like a pretty good idea to me, but hey...I'm just a Zelda fan, what do I know?

Nintendo once gave permission to some company, I believe it was called Philips, to make a Zelda game. It was a cartoony game, and possibly the worst Zelda game ever. In that game, Link talks. But don't go looking for the game just because of that. It is really bad.

I don't think Philips makes videogames.

And I wince at the idea of having some pretty-boy Hollywood actor in the role as Link. Who on earth would play Ganon?

I assume you all have not seen the animted series? :P Link talks in that, a hell of a lot too >.<

If they get Orlando Bloom to play Link I am going to cry.

But I've always thought the idea of Zelda could make an awesome movie, but I could never work out how they would make a film sequence of the puzzles in the dungeons.

Good point, if they do go ahead with this, you gotta wonder who "the man that would be Link" could be. Seriously, what actor could pull off Link? I guess that all kind of depends on want incarnation of Link and the others they use and which game they base it off of the most.

Until then, let's just pray this will be better than "The Super Mario Brothers Movie"

Why not? Every other game is getting a movie.

It will most probably suck Harry Potter's magic wand, but there are a lot of people willing to watch crap.

they had the potential to make a really dark and awesome film in Doom and created that which takes me no effort whatsoever at about 8am on the morning after the night before. So I'm going to expect as much from this.
