Rebuilding Daris ((Open RP THread))

Jon Albrecht enters Daris with a few of his men. They make their way past Peribo's store and gather round Popper's Rock. On each side of Jon is a man holding a banner. One banner is the symbol of Dasaria, and the other is the crest of Albrecht Family. Jon addresses those present,

Fellow Dasarians,

As I walk through Daris, I notice several buildings in the village are destroyed or marred by the countless years of war. With your help, I would like to gather the funds to have these buildings restored. Donate all you can, and I will match the amount given by the people.

I know that some of you are poor and unable to donate, but that does not mean you are helpless. Many of you have skills in building, others have access to raw materials, I ask that you help in anyway you can. Please donate what you can, and together we can rebuild our home. Each improvement we make in Dasaria is one step closer to winning to war.

My men and I will be here all day taking the names of those who wish to donate.

Mitchifer and the hospital nurses, followed by a few good hands approach Albrecht's crowd. Many of the farmhands and local villagers happily donate their money and volunteer to help, as Mitchifer joins Albrecht on Popper's Rock. The insightful priest gives the man a smile and looks over the banners carefully.

"Jon, this is a wonderful prospect for the villager's renewal for their home, and a great way to raise the connection between the community. We don't have much money to give, but what we do have will go gratefully to this endeavor, and the hospital kitchen will provide a place for food and refreshment for everyone."

A red-robed man storms out of Peribo's, muttering about overpricing and price gouging. Falson smiles slightly as he hears Jon's annoucement, and quietly makes his way over to the warrior.

"Master Albrect," the sorcerer nodded slightly, "as you know most of my money is focused on upkeeping and repairing Dragonwatch. However, I will give what I can and aid any way I can, since this village has helped greatly in the project there, it is only appropriate that I return the favor."

"Whatever aid, be it spiritual, financial, or physical," the half-elf paladin slightly unsheathed her sword for emphasis, "I will come to your aid."

She looked around the town noticing the snow beginning to pile around the map of the town and other corners.

"It is about time we bring some good to this place."

Drawing her cloak aside, Shalandra brushes her locks of hair from her face and speaks softly.

"I'm afraid I have little money of which to speak of, but I am more than prepared to offer my blood and body to rebuilding our fair town.

Wherever you need a pair of arms, you have it."

Davi and Sal shyly made their way through crowd of heroes. At first they hesitate to approach Albrecht, until Sal nudges Davi foward.

S-Sir, we would like to help.

The little boy holds his opened hand out displaying an old battered gold coin.

Jon looks at Shalandra and smiles.

I'm sure we can put your body to use.

Then Jon notices as the children approach. He kneels down and looks the children in the eyes.

Your contribution is appreciated. It is good to know children like these two are the future of Dasaria.

[Crimson Knightmare]

~His bright baby blue robes flutter in the chilling wind as he walks through the gates entering Daris. He looks up then pulls his hood over his head and eyes to prevent the chill as much as possible. Looking around he notices several buildings destroyed and damaged from the past wars. Continuing to walk he approaches Jon more slowly waiting as the childern go by then looks at Jon once again~

"Master Albrecht me and my wife have decided through our magic that we will aid our home here in Daris as much as possible." He looks around at the crowd a little uncomfortable then moves closer to Jon.

"We have decided to supply your efforts with 300,000 gold peices." Holding up a fairly large bag he hands it to Jon.

"Here is half of the gold for you my friend. The other half is in my home and will be given when I return. Though remember I am able to work in the reconstruction of Daris when you begin."

*he turns around pulling his bright baby blue robes tightly around him and walks through the gate returning to his home*

Relen, a fairly weak druid of Albrecht, inclines his head towards the farmlands. A small figure in leather armour was slowly approaching the crowd. As he drew closer, Relen realized it was but a boy, with no companion to speak of but a small badger. His stained armour spoke of battles with beetles, and his mere expression shows he has no idea what is going on.

He walks closer, and sees the sign. Relen thought the boy would understand then, but to his surprise, the boy looked confused.

He saw Relen looking at him. "Do you know why so many people are here? And what do those signs say?"

Relen was slightly appalled, but he did not show it. The child did not know how to read. He read the identical signs to the boy.

"Oh. Hmm . . ." he fiddled around with his pack. He eventually drew a medium-sized bag of gold, and handed it up to Jon, who appeared to be the leader.

"I'd like to donate this, though I don't know how much is in it."

Inside the bag, 500 gold pieces wait . . .
