Tales and Stories Submittals

Player created writings and stories are one of the most beautiful things in the Dasarian Community. It means a great deal to the community, and I think I'm safe in saying that we all enjoy the privilege of reading the works.

We are working to include these works in-game, and by submitting a piece of literature here: it means it might show up for use in game or even on a web presence that we are working on. If you do not wish the Dasarian team to use the work, just put a little note at the bottom at the original post-"not for further use."

Thanks for the inspiration!

The first time i saw one of my stories in a bookshelf i was blown away. I think anything written here is the domain of the entire server and should be used as such. After all, without the server, we wouldnt be inspired to write.

Damn right, Feral. Hell it was Dasaria that got me writing in the first place! Without Dasaria, I would never have founds something that gives me as much enjoyment as playing here does! And its great to give something back to the Dasarian community too.

only reason i posted it is- i just dont want someone getting annoyed with us because we used something without permission. I know for most of its its a happy thing. We just dont want to step on any toes if we put it in the module or feature it on a dasaria website.

I know what you mean Jeh, these days you have to cover yourself cos people will sue for the slightest thing. Slightly off topic, but there was a story in the UK not so long ago where a burglar sued the owner of a house he burgled because their dog bit him!! He was successful too because the house owners didnt put a little sticker on their window saying they had a dog!! Go figure.

I read about a guy who broke into someone's car garage but couldn't get out. He sued the owner of the garage for letting him starve there while he was on holiday. He had to live on 10 liters of pepsi and dog biscuits. Poor fella. Of course, he won the lawsuit.

Hey Jeh - you should get a disclaimer clause written up and posted on the website to cover you for all that kind of thing. You know, not just plagiarism, but all the other stuff. Otherwise....

I personally think it's great.

I haven't written like I have recenly since playing on Dasaria for many years. And it's great to read people's work in the game when you have one of those quiet periods

Jehannum...Mad Season gave me the idea that there are many stories in the Tales & Stories section that pertain to NPCs, certain geography and other interests that might be appropriate for the "World Background and Information" section. GM Falcon really did a good job presentationally on Dasar and the tribal lands of the plains.

I would be willing to suggest some selections from this massive collection of stories if this would interest you. Someone who is especially talented with screenshots could help me out here, as well. (Arilyn DaVid?)

Would the community benefit from this idea? I know that the Atlas makers really gave a lot of heart to thier project. Maybe this could compliment thier efforts?

Anything you could come up with to enrich the world we all love so much I am sure will find a place, if appropriate, on the website. There is huge potential in what could be done and contributions are always welcome.
