Crafting skills with practical applications:

Post by WarOrdos »

I have researched, wigwagged with the masses and yet, still I get mixed reports on just what skills have real world use in this back water anthill. The chant of such varies from one one berk to another and the dizzying array of contradictory replies makes one wonder if all are naught but bubbers in hiding. It seems clear that a true and canny cutter is a rare breed and that those skilled in the arts of crafting rarer still.

*paces back and forth, his footfalls causing a deep echo across the stone hall*

I want the true dark of crafting in this burg *looking at you intently, a soft smile gracing my lips*. Perhaps clueless, you think that I'm some simple gully, that I'm a cony ripe for the plucking? You are mistaken, *a rasping laugh, which sends an instinctive shiver down your spine, escapes from the dark figure's throat*. I will hear the true dark of such industry from your bone-box--one way or another.

The figure advances towards you, your bonds holding fast fixing you to the oddly warm metal alter, a glint of metal shines in his left hand. "We are going to have a nice wigwag berk and you'll not screed me, oh no. You are going to tell me everything I want to know."
Common sense isn't very common.

Just incase the first post wasn't totally clear *clears throat and taps foot*

What tradeskills are actually viable in terms of practical in game usage? I get contradictory reports on several--such as making ammunition. I'm planning to have all of my PC's be able to do at least one skill to the utmost perfection. That said, working on one that is totally worthless, RP aside, does seem a tad idiotic when there are so many to choose from etc.

As such, which are the most "viable/useful" tradeskills based on the current system?

Thanks in advance.

Bags are great, ring/amulets are handy to make but you can still find items to match what they do anyway.
